BOTOX® and BOTOX® Cosmetic Treatments
Dr. Hoenig has successfully performed thousands of
BOTOX® injections over the past 15 years for cosmetic enhancement
of the face, as well as for the following conditions:
BOTOX® injections, a simple and non-surgical
procedure whereby very low doses of a natural purified protein are
placed into specific muscles, relaxes the muscles and prevents contraction.
BOTOX® injections create only minimal and temporary discomfort,
which is greatly reduced by the use of a topical numbing cream.
The procedure takes 5 to 10 minutes, and you can return to work
or daily activities immediately. Results of BOTOX® injections
are noticeable in a few days, and last for several months.
how you could look with BOTOX Cosmetic treatments.
For aesthetic purposes, BOTOX®
Cosmetic is FDA-approved for the treatment of glabella lines
(frown lines between the eyebrows) and is also commonly used to
prevent or treat horizontal lines on the forehead and crows
feet around the eyes. Using his advanced knowledge of facial anatomy,
Dr. Hoenig also is able to perform BOTOX® Cosmetic treatments
into less common sites to create a mini-browlift, reduce lip lines,
relax vertical neck muscle bands, or to aesthetically improve other
features of the face.

BOTOX® Cosmetic treatments for aesthetic enhancement
are not covered by insurance. In some cases, medical insurance will
pay for part or all of the costs of functional BOTOX® treatments
if the condition to be treated is considered reconstructive, disabling
or interferes significantly with the quality of your life.
Treatments By relaxing the muscles in the face
and neck that press on nerves, BOTOX® injections can successfully
treat a majority of patients suffering from migraine headaches.
In fact, in clinical studies nearly 18% of patients that received
the placebo (injection without medicine) complained of headaches,
compared to only 13% of patients receiving BOTOX® treatments.
Treatments (Eyelid Spasm) Blepharospasm is caused
by an uncontrolled nerve signal in the brain that stimulates the
eyelid muscle. BOTOX® injections of the eyelid muscles can
easily treat the muscle spasm that causes contraction or twitching
of the eyelids.
Spasm Treatments Facial muscle spasm (also referred
to as hemi-facial spasm, as it occurs on one half of the face) results
in contraction or twitching of the face. It can be triggered by
abnormal nerve regrowth after Bells Palsy or by irritation
of an artery as it exits the brain. Facial spasm is easily treated
with BOTOX® injections to relax the muscles.
Treatments Excessive sweating (hyperhidrosis)
of the face, palms, underarms, or feet can be inconvenient and embarrassing,
and may portray anxiety, worry, or lack of confidence. BOTOX®
treatments are effective in limiting the over-secretion of the sweat
